I own a company in which I could advertise companies listed in the stock markets. Does anyone know what type of SEC vilations I could incur with advertising a publically traded company? Are there any rules for advertising I would need to follow? Say I wanted to advertise a company which I own stocks of, whithout the company's permission or knowledge?

I am about to get a hold of someone in the SEC but wanted to ask here first....
